Through years of listening to retailers and rigorous experimentation in live retail environments, including convenience stores, drugstores, and office-supply and supermarkets, GOLIATH determined that to successfully measure what happens in the in-store environment, an effective long-range RFID system was required. Because no so such system existed at the time, GOLIATH built its own system. Through the development of the Backbone, GOLIATH has designed a cost effective way of gathering and transmitting insights from store-level in real time.
